Is there a way to force enable the tab animations in Groupy 2?

Is there a way to force enable the tab animations in Groupy 2? About a year ago, I posted on this forum asking whether Groupy 2's tab animations should follow the system settings. Strangely, the post seems to have been deleted and I can’t find it now. After my post, you apparently addressed the issue and added the G2_ForceNoAnimsOnTabs registry entry. However, I recently upgraded to the latest version of Groupy and noticed that turning off tab animations looks terrible—every time a new window appears, it briefly flickers at its starting position before being repositioned to the tabbed window location. This flickering doesn’t happen when tab animations are enabled. I regret raising that issue earlier. My system animations have always been disabled. How can I re-enable the tab animations? The G2_ForceNoAnimsOnTabs registry entry only disables animations.

This feature is part of the 2.1.5 update. The 2.1.5 update notes mention: "Detects if the user has client area animations disabled and if so disables the Groupy tab animations. G2_ForceNoAnimsOnTabs = "1" would also force this."

If you have disabled animations in the system settings, this switch will have no effect.

If you disable Windows' system animations, the setting G2_ForceNoAnimsOnTabs becomes ineffective regardless of its value. Let’s not focus on tab animations for now. I’ve noticed that even if I successfully enable tab animations, every time a new window appears, it briefly flickers at its starting position before being repositioned to the tabbed window location. This issue persists, and I initially thought it was related to disabling tab animations. However, now that I’ve enabled tab animations, the problem remains. Reverting to version 2.1.2.1 resolves the issue. So, the current problem is: how can we fix the flickering issue when new windows are opened?

Strangely this is what I get when trying to read your post on my system. This was from firefox but the same if I use Chrome. Not sure what is going on.

BTW, this is what I get on my system. Not seeing any flickers when adding new tab.

Does the issue only appear on 7zip or any other application on your system?

Also, Please try, uninstall Groupy2, reboot immediately (important), download latest version available in your account product download page: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products. Install it, reboot immediately again. Retest it and report back.

After uninstalling Groupy, restarting, and reinstalling Groupy 2.2.0.1, the issue persisted. However, reinstalling version 2.1.2.1 resolved the problem. The issue isn’t limited to 7z—all applications flicker when adding tabs. For example, when an .exe opens, its default window position is centered. If you move the window to the left and then open a second instance of the same .exe, the new window still initially appears in the center before being added to the tab group on the left, as demonstrated in my video. This behavior was tested and reproduced on both versions 26100.712 and 22635.4945 with identical results.
