start11 and frequent MOUSE freeze or hesitation

seeing if anyone else experiencing this.

Hello -- I have latest Start11 installed on two computers (desktop and laptop).   Latest updated windows 10_64 and windows 11, respectively.

I spend most of my day in Chrome browser using M365, amazon, ebay, etc.

Immedatiately following installation of Start11, I immediately notice infrequent but persistent time where MOUSE "hesitates" for some period of time.   typically in 0.5 to 2 seconds.     It's subtle but pretty obvious when it happens.

Again -- this mouse "hesitation" is on both computers.      I'm using Logitech 650L mouse (that has it's own receive or can use Bluetooth).   I have tried different USB ports and Logitech dongle vs Bluetooth connect.  these changes have no effect on mouse UX "hesitation".

The final validation was uninstalling Start11 altogether.   the mouse "hesitation" completely disappeared.

Of  the two systems, one using Crowdstrike Falcon for endpoint protection, the other is using default Windows Defender.

Thus, I'm pointing finger at START11.

I don't know what do from here.    This seems like support case.

Any insight would be appreciated.

I use a Logitech MX Master 3S mouse and I have never experienced this issue, and I don't believe I've seen this issue in the forums before. My mouse is very quick and responds without hesitation. I use the LogiBolt receiver for connection.

If I had to guess, I would say there is a conflict with a third-party software which is on both systems, or a bad install.

On another note, if you like Orangutans, there is a show on Paramout+ called "Orangutan Jungle School" which is very good. I watched all episodes from two seasons and loved it.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I only see this issue if I have my wallpaper set to change every few minutes and I set Windows to change theme accents color automatic pick from my background. Every time when the wallpaper change, Windows will need some time to change the accents color which will also effect Start11 taskbar and Start menu if you choose to turn on their color to automatic.

I experienced this exact problem. Started today with the latest Start11 v2 update. Resolved it by uninstalling the software. Not gonna reinstall until Stardock fixes this. It's an absolute dealbreaker until fixed.

edit: System specs: Up to date Windows 11 Pro, Start11 v2, motherboard integrated Bt and Logitech Bt mouse. Problem started for the first time today after installing the newly released Start11 v2 patch over the already installed software, which was up to date prior today. Problem solved after complete uninstall of Start11 v2 and after restart. I tried everything else I could think of before this.

And to comment the reply above I have static Windows wallpaper. I've used this same hardware and software setup now at least for two years before today's problem.

I reinstalled the software to see if the problem reappears. I'll update if it does. So far so good after 20 minutes of use, but haven't rebooted yet.

It's essential to reboot immediately after installation for the software to work properly and as intended.

After a new day and a couple of hours of problem-free system use, I can say with a reasonable certainty that the issue seems to have been resolved by a full uninstall and reinstall of Start11 v2.
