Is there a way to use 48x icons on Desktop but not in Start Menu?

I love having large icons on my desktop, makes everything more accesssible, and the icons are much clearer. But, when you tell Windows to use large icons on Desktop, it also uses them in the Star Menu, blowing it up to a huge size.

Is there a way to make Large only on Desktop?

If you have DesktopX you can turn on the IconX stuff...there are probably lots of others ways too.

Large icons are a global setting in display properties - The only native way to have them on the desktop is to also have them in the start menu. As werewolf mentioned, Icon X, part of DesktopX2 is the best way I know of to change only the icons on your desktop.

If you don't have it, you can read about it here: https://www.stardock.com/products/desktopx/

I agree with Stumpy... I have large icons and small user panel icons. Maybe Icon packager has a special setting?

I think the program icons on the left of the start menu will be 16 px if you choose small icons from start menu config whether or not your desktop icons are displayed large or small.
