Gov AI

Sorry for being blunt, but the gov A"I" is stupid as shit.

You research for years to unlock buildings, meanwhile the planetary govs waste every free space and all bonus fields with mostly production districts (sectors? I play german ^^) which you need to delete again in order to place the new unlocked buildings.

And honestly, if i wanted temporary districts i would pick research to speed up unlocking buildings, not production to waste space without any use since it just slows down unlocking all the buildable things.

Imho the gov ai's should only build these repeatables when all the buildings are unlocked and placed to fill the rest, or at least use a maximum limit of 1-3 of each one (depending on the planets size) until the buildings are researched and placed.

It would also help to set a focus for the govs/worlds, noone wants to take their vacation on a toxic world, they are ideal to harvest to the core or unlimited research, but the ai dont cares about basic logic, it just spams repeatables everywhere while it would make much more sense to spam starbase modules...and as far as i saw it never builds shipyards - the first thing i build on every colony, even if its just to speed up reasearch and build modules. Btw, these options are missing in the auto build menu, there you can only build ships.

Hey, thanks for sharing your experience with the governors. AI is always smth which can be improved. Out of curiosity, how many industrial districts would be optimal for your playstyle?

Well, personally i only build the repeatable districts to fill the leftover free space, i prefer to build real buildings, otherwise it wouldnt makes sense to research them in the first place.

So based on my playstyle it would be far better to unlock the repeatable stuff last, not start with it.

Thats also why i cant give an exact number, on big planets it could be more and on small planets not a single one.
