App ordering within fence not maintained

Good morning,

every time I turn the PC back on, the apps inside the various fences are not in the tidy position in which I put them. I am waiting for your information to resolve the problem. Thank you

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more on your issue.

  1. Windows full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe.
  2. Fences full version number.
  3. Screenshot before and after boot.
  4. Your setting on Fences automatic layout. Something like screenshot below. (Note different Fences version might have different setting available on this setting) Note: Older Fences version might have this page on "Backup"

Need to know your Fences full version number please.

Also, when you are not updating Your Windows to latest available version? I believe Windows Server 23H2 is available.

Hi Marco, looks like you're on Fences 5. Good news, I think we have a fix available for you!

Please give this a try:

Be sure to say yes to "Restart explorer" in the end.

This update patcher will update your existing installation in-place, no restart required. You can verify by checking the version after and noticing v5.87 (Rev 4) in the About tab.

This has helped out some other users so please let us know if it helps you as well!

Please enable advanced logging from the troubleshooting link menu in About. Reboot, then Use backups in the layouts pane to make a backup of the current layout.

Continue using the program until the problem occurs. When the problem occurs, use the troubleshooting menu to create an error report, and it will guide you on how to upload it to us. Thank you.

Sorry but I don't understand what I should do. The problem is that I sort the app icons contained within the fences. I turn off the PC and turn it back on and I find them still not sorted as I did.
