Start11 File Flagged as Malware

SdDisplay.exe Quarantined

from Stardock Forums

My AV program has flagged SdDisplay.exe as Malware, specifically Drop.Win32.MLDCpy.18513. Is this a false flag? Right now, the file is quarantined. Will this impact Start11 in a negative way?

The file is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Start11.

I am running Start11 version 2.11. I did an update check, and was told I am running the latest version. I am using Windows 10. AV software is Surfshark 5.11.1.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. If you downloaded the installer directly from Stardock.com, than it can be consider a False Positive.

Removing that file will break your ability to activate or change activations or get notifications of updates.

It will be a false positive and I would recommend considering an alternative AV application.
