FYI: The WinCustomise Servers are Running Really Slow

Downloads from the Dream Gallery are Taking Forever

Just downloaded "Spectacular Christmas Cabin View," which is 109.38MB and it took 40 minutes to complete!

This is not normal for this site. Is there maintenance going on or a crazy amount of traffic?

I have noticed that as well for the last couple of days. Hopefully, as you say, it is temporary.

Hi all, thanks for posting.

Checking from my end now they appear to be working to navigate and download normally.  Please confirm if that's not the case.

Browsing is working fairly well atm., and download speed at my end is right now 300-600 KB/s. Not very fast, but acceptable, I think. Stardock/Wincustomize servers have never been quite stable or fast.

Much better than yesterday, but still pretty slow. Some of the Walls where the download is a high res PNG file load like the old days with a 56K dial-up modem, progressively rendering line by line. It's possible these are saved with compression set to high.

We really shouldn't complain since the WinCustomize site is provided without a large monetization scheme. I personally subscribe in order to contribute to the cause, but a lot of the user base does not.
