Start 11 -> Pin to Start11 doesn't work from Windows Explorer

If I right-click an application in the Start11 start menu's list of All Applications, the "Pin to Start11" context menu item displays a chevron that pops out a list of my Start menu groups where I can assign which group will receive the pinned app. Selecting a group results in the app being pinned to that group, as expected.

If I right-click an application in Windows Explorer, though, I still get a "Pin to Start11" context menu item, but my Start menu groups aren't shown and selecting the "Pin to Start11" item does not pin the item to any part of the Start menu.

Is there a way to pin items from Windows Explorer that works properly, or why is there a "Pin to Start11" context menu item in Explorer if it doesn't work at all?

This works for me on Windows 11 - 22635.4515; Start11v2 - 2.1.1.0; Windows 10 style. The shortcut gets pinned to the last group on the first page of the start11 menu. You will only be able to pin Apps this way.

With further testing, pinning from File Explorer works on all styles except the Windows 7 and Modern styles.

Well, good to know it's just me, I guess. I tried other styles (all but Win 7 and Modern) (I use Windows  App Style) and the results were the same.

If the video is blurry, click the GEAR icon in the bottom right corner and select a higher quality.

That works for me too, but the pin NEVER goes to the group I want.  I don't care that I don't get the drop-down to choose a group-- I always want the same one.  Is there a way to set which group will get?

It usually goes to the last group on the 1st page. I don't believe there is a setting to set the group where new pins go.
