Factions not showing up...

Factions from workshop not showing in menu..Reinstalled, renamed local folders. Tried subbing from the in game overlay, it just goes to "synchronizing workshop items" and doesn't finish, zero disk usage after a second and waiting for minutes, I've even left it for an hour. The new game menu; the workshop button is greyed out. The mods get downloaded into the workshop folder in the steam program files, so I guess I could manually extract to the my games folder, but that isn't ideal. The mods I get work, or at least show up in the menu. Ran as admin in case it's a permissions thing.

 

I have the expansion pass and have tried the 'insiders' build. Windows 11 pro 23h2 rx6800xt

 

any suggestions?

Hello!

Ill ask the team for some suggestions on what to try and circle back, there is a chance we may need to transition to support. For additional context are you playing on Epic or steam?

Note: Having OneDrive enabled can mess with mod synchronization

Using the steam version. I don't have any onedrive/devdrive or defender running.

I messed around some more tonight and found the firewall was blocking "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Galactic Civilizations IV\GalCiv4.exe" separately from the launcher for anyone having the problem in the future. The windows 11 firewall allow prompt may not pop up in rapid succession for different .exe's? Don't have the patience with windows 11 to find out right now as I work in IT...
