App thumbnails above taskbar icons no longer aligned with correct icon

Good morning,

I'm not sure exactly when this started, but I think it was around the same time that I had a Windows 11 update 2 days ago. Has anyone else been dealing with this? If I launch multiple apps, the preview thumbnail is randomly about 5 or so icons to the left or right of the actual icon the preview thumbnail is for.

I've checked for updates and everything seems to be good there. I did switch over to Windows Insider Beta 2 weeks ago, in hopes of getting the 24H2 performance benefits I'd been reading about, but the issue didn't arise at that time.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more information on your system.

  1. Windows 11 full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe
  2. Start11 full version number.
  3. Start11 Enhance taskbar setting turn on or off?
  4. Do you have any other 3rd party software that change how the taskbar work. I notice there are division bar appear on your taskbar, I don't think those from Start11. Please clarify.

I did switch over to Windows Insider Beta 2 weeks ago

I am running the most recent Windows Beta 22635.4435 and I don't see this issue, so I don't think that is the problem here.

I've just disabled the "Let Start 11 enhance the taskbar" setting and the problem has gone away. I guess I had that feature on by default and I have just realized I do not use any of the features it offers.
