I am confused by Stardock software pricing. Some software is subscription based where I have to renew every year whereas Groupy 2 appears to be one time payment.

  1. What is the pricing for Groupy 2?
  2. What is the upgrade policy for Groupy 2?
  3. Can I use Groupy 2 perpetually after buying it?
  4. What are the major differences between Groupy and Groupy 2?
  5. When was Groupy 2 released?

I will appreciate if you can respond to above point wise as asked for ease of understanding and future reference.

Hello,

I will try to answer your questions.

  1. The price for Groupy 2 depend on where you purchase it from. Some local sales taxes will change you purchase price.
  2. If you have previous version of Groupy, you, usually entitle for discount price. Please click on "Upgrade" button to check if you're entitle to it. The same should be for future Groupy version.
  3. Yes, you should be able to use Groupy forever, as long as your OS version stay compatible with it.

  5. Groupy 2 Public Beta was release 10th May 2023
