Made a real mess

Blank desktop

Hi,  I've messed up my PC by installing and activating Fences 5, in that after successful activation my desktop is blank.  However as I installed V5 on top of V2 and Fences Pro.  I thought maybe the older versions were interfering since Fences 5 interface wouldn't run, and so I tried to uninstall them.  Now I've go no access to any control interface and no desktop icons.  Can someone advise how to get out of this mess?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. First please do a purge. Do not install Fences yet until all your desktop icons appear on your desktop. Make sure to reboot after the purge: Please refer to this guide here: https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#reinstalling.

I appear to be back up and running with V5 trial now.  Was there a complimentary licence for the heart attack?  I thought I read something to that effect when trying to find the issue.

Lol, Technically I'm correct, it said that if I helped you fix an issue with your software then I get a licence.  I did just that.. followed your advice and behold I helped you fix it. :-)
