32 Bit Windows 10 Pro PC not supported

32 Bit platforms not supported

I have installed Multiplicity 4 Beta onto 4 of my 5 PC's and laptops. All 64 bit platforms went OK, but it will not install on my Windows 10 Pro 32 Bit PC. I use this PC for software testing for deliveries to Organizations still using 32 Windows Platforms, so I am disappointed that the Stardock Multiplicity download page identifies Window 11 and 10 but did not identify 64 bit only. Will the release version support 32 Bit Windows PC's?

Please note that I had been using Multiplicity 3 Pro successfully on all 5 PC's/laptops prior to this installation.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, I believe the issue you're having is due to Multiplicity 4 is using newer CPU support Features. Something as mentioned here: https://forums.stardock.com/530767/get;3946855 and look like the next version release should resolved this issue as mentioned in reply#44 in that same thread.

Thank you.

Thanks Basj, but I think it is more complex than that given the installation error warning that it is a 64bit VB requirement as per the screenshot  below. Hope I'm wrong and if so, can you advise an ETA for the update please.

Not sure about this one. However, I have forwarded your problem/question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.

Hello Basj, I just did an update to the VB distributable, and although the warning was still advised about the 64 Bit VB requirement, I installed the software anyway (as provided as an option on the warning screen). As I am only running the Windows 10 32 bit PC as a Secondary PC and not as the Primary, it has installed and is working fine. I suggest that if I had this issue on a PC that was to be used as a Primary PC, then the system would not work as the interface would not be presented. I also checked the age of the processor as it is an i5 4460 which is about ten years old, but it doesn't appear to be an issue in this case.

Great, glad to hear that.

Future versions will not install the (before required) vcredists so this wont be an issue going forward.
