Non-starter

I downloaded the 30-day trial of Start11 and installed it on my Lenovo X1 Yoga equiped with Windows 11. Opened the folder, selected and switched <ON> the Start Menu, selected <Windows 10 Style>..........and.................nothing! Nothing happened, no change to my start menu. Rebooted but that didn't help. Tried several of the other (but by no means all) options but the only one that worked was a change to the Start Button. There is no <OK> or <Instal> button anywhere so what am I missing/doing wrong?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more on your system.

  1. Windows 11 full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe
  2. Where did you download the Start11v2 trial from?
  3. Do you have any other 3rd party application installed previously that also change how your Start Panel/taskbar behavior?
  4. And error popup when you install Start11? Did you reboot immediately after the installation is done.

Thank you.

Thanks for the prompt attention to my query

Win11 - Version23H2 (OS Build 22631.4317)

Don't recall for certain where the download came from, but I had done a search for Windows 11 modifiers and there was a link to the download following a brief description of the software, and I believe that took me to your download site, but not 100% sure

Have never tried any other applications that modify the Start Panel/taskbar behavior except the built-in option in Win11 to move the taskbar to the left from the default centre position.

No errors when installing Start11, and no, I only rebooted after selecting the Windows 10 Style and nothing happened.

Please try this, uninstall Start11v2, reboot immediately after the uninstall is done. Re-download the trial again. Reinstall it and reboot immediately after the installation is done. Retest it and report back.

Thank you,

Bingo! That did it. Now working OK and it looks a lot more like Win10. I especially like the fact that Control Panel opens in the Win10 default layout as well as the Start menu. Now I can play and get it even more to my liking. Thanks for the help, looks like you are going to have a new customer when the 30 day trial runs out.

Cheers

David
