Taskbar Thumbnail Size

The only answer I can think of is to have a second backup machine [desktop or laptop] available with Windows 10 so that you can still have the taskbar thumbnail size that you want. Maybe someone someday can come up with a fix or workaround. I wish Microsoft would stop being such a control freak about their OS when it comes to third party customization. It is this kind of thing that drives people to Linux, even though that OS has it's own issues. But I hear that Macs are even worse, and that Apple is much more controlling than Microsoft.

I think this has something to do with Microsoft's mission to deprecate Windows Registry settings that 3rd party apps use to alter or restore the Windows 10 Taskbar. I'm really disappointed with this change. Hopefully someone figures out a way to restore the ability to enlarge the taskbar thumbnail preview size.

EDIT: After further testing, I have found that none of the following Registry additions work anymore.

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Taskband

NumThumbnails; MinThumbSizePx; nor MaxThumbSizePx

Good news! With the latest Windows 11 Beta update (22635.4515), these registry settings work again.

MaxThumbSizePx (Value: Number of pixels anywhere less than 500)
MinThumbSizePx (Value: Number of pixels anywhere less than 500)
NumThumbnails (Value: Number of thumbnails before displaying list)
