Hidden dock takes a very long time to drop down.

I have an autohide dock at the top of my screen. It hides itself but it very difficult to get it to drop down again. I have tried setting to Instant and every other step in the performance setting but it still refuses to drop down in a reasonable time. This makes the dock very frustrating to use and defeats the point of ussing it.

Can anyone help please.

One other question, can I install my stardock purchases on two ps's in my home?

Thanks for your time and assistance.

Ken.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more information please.

  1. Windows full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe.
  2. ObjectDock full version number.
  3. Autohide on tab dock?

For your installation question. If you purchased ObjectDock recently it should be okay for up to 5 active installs.

Thank you.

I had the same problem and after repeated setting changes I abandoned ObjectDock and stared using Fences to create drop-down menus.

I'm running Windows 11 Pro 22635.4300 with ObjectDock 3.0.1.4, and I don't see the lag you're talking about. If I set the dock position at the top and set Accessibility to Autohide and the far left position of Short delay, the dock pops up immediately. It's actually faster than the Autohide taskbar. Same response for tabbed docks.

I'm not sure what other setting you are using. I'm not showing running applications, and I only have 21 shortcuts on my dock.
