Not with Start 11 as far as I know, but you can do it with taskbar settings in Windows:

  1. Click the Windows icon on the taskbar, and select Settings (the Gear icon) to open Settings.
  2. Select Personalization.
  3. Click Taskbar on the left, and scroll down to find Select which icons appear on the taskbar.
  4. Turn on or off the icons as desired for the Notification Area (lower right corner of task bar).

Maybe you are confusing it with Windows 10 because on Windows 11 where you indicated there are not the two icons that I would like to hide.

Sorry, I must have done that and after some investigation I see these options have been removed in Windows 11. It is however possible to use another third party app to do this, but the Stardock forum rules prevents me from suggesting such an option.

Windows 11 does not allow you to remove the sound/battery or the network icons from the taskbar.
These are not customizable.

I would recommend sending feedback directly to Microsoft using the Feedback Hub.

There are Group Policy settings to hide Volume, Battery, and Network from the System Tray, but I tried them, and they don't work on Windows 11.
