Some UWPs still don't work

Certain Window UWP apps won't launch when pinned to a quick launch dock OR a tabbed dock when using Objectdock 3 on latest Windows 11.  For example - Windows Calculator, Windows Settings, and Windows Photos.  The Calculator attempts to open, but then closes itself.  Settings when pinned to dock won't launch at all.  Same with Photos.  These apps WILL show up on the dock (if running apps set to display)  when launched from Start menu, but will not launch when pinned to the dock.

Any chance that you are using another dock program, such as Rocketdock? If so, there might be a conflict there, preventing Objectdock from working properly. Which version of Windows 11 are you using. You can find out via winver.exe.

No other dock software in use or installed - only Objectdock.  Windows 11 version 23H2 22631.4169.  My Windows installation is a clean one - no other third party software.  Are you able to replicate my issue?  Can you try, please?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. How you added those application to your Quick Launch dock? For me, I can pinned it to dock by create its shortcut on the desktop and than drag it onto the dock. Click on that pinned icon will open up Photos and Calculator for me without issue. My only problem is, I can not find a way to create desktop shortcut for Windows System.

Thank you.

I have "show running applications" turned on in the dock settings and I launch them from the Start Menu, then I select "pin to dock."  Then, I close those apps and when I try to launch them from the pinned shortcuts on the dock, those apps won't open.  Please try my method and see if you get the same results.  I don't use the desktop method you described.  That method should not be needed if you have "show running applications" turned on.

Hey I learn something everyday, thank you for pointing that out. Now, I tested and Pinned Calculator and Photos. It work on my system. Somehow Windows system don't work, it might due to Windows system is not the same as other application.

What you can do to resolve your issue for Calculator, Photos and other normal application. Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

Unfortunately, I'm still having the same result.  The only other thing for me to try would be to wipe computer completely and reinstall everything, including Windows 11 from scratch.  That might make a difference.  Who knows.

My Windows 11 is not the Pro version; mine is Windows 11 Home.  The instructions for sandbox specifically reference Windows 10&11 PRO. So, I assume I cannot do the sandbox thing. Let me know.

Yes, sadly, Sandbox not included in Windows Home edition. I believe you can try, clean boot and see if something is blocking Object Dock. Refer here: https://support.stardock.com/space/SHC/1332445272/Fences+Clean+Boot. Yes its for Fences, but, I believe, it should also work with Object Dock.
