Transfer to new laptop

I have a new laptop that I want to put Object Desktop on but need help in doing this. I can't download again as my subscription has passed. Having purchased it in 2011 I have the back up folder with Impulse files in it but don't know how I can use them. I again purchased it in 2019 , but I don't know where the install files are that I can install on my new laptop.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I believe, Stardock asked and reminded all ObjectDesktop users to download and save all installers while subscription is still active. You will not be able to download installers  when your subscription has expired. I don't think ObjectDesktop has anything to do with Impulse.

Moving forward, you could renew your subscription to get all the latest available files again.

Thank you.

I must off missed that i don't ever recall getting that info.

For a product that is no longer supported and I have bought twice , I don't feel like doing it again. I have receipts on my account why can't Installers be made available to me. Not looking for latest versions don't use them enough to worry about that.

''Impulse used for downloading Stardock products has not been possible for more than a decade.''

Thought as much anyone know off a way to use the back up files.

If you have a new laptop running Windows 11, none of those old apps will work.

If my “Classic Object Desktop Subscription” lapses, do I still have access to the installers via my Stardock account?

No. Stardock will not make available installers for the versions that were active when your Classic Object Desktop Subscription lapsed. It is the responsibility of the client to keep copies of the installers for any product that was available when their subscription was current.

So after sorting through some old dvds with stored items on them, I came across the files - (still don't recall getting them).

Still think it's bad that a company won't help you out even when you have bought the product not once but twice and hide behind the quote ''we told you to save the installers''.

Jan Oscar and anyone else that's interested I have installed all programs except Logon Studio (won't install).

I have Desktop X working and others have opened as well so it seems that they still work on Win 11.
