Quarnium and minor factions

Why is Quarnium impossible to find in a small 2v2 map.  Of the 19 or so planets theres two minor factions which I did not fight and the AI has 4 planets.  Quarnium still hasn't been discovered.  Can this be changed to be a developed item even if the factories take a long time to create it.  I've played for hours excited to try and build a titan and never get the opportunity to.

 

As for Minor factions, can an option on the map options be changed to turn these off? I never use these and only find a fleet of them shows up to help the enemy and its one more thing I don't want to bother with.

You can research quarnium forging and create them at the exotics factory

Thank you @blaznee.  The research tree needs to be redone to easily figure out what each thing is for.  Last thing I want in game to do is spend 10 minutes hovering over every item to figure out what it is.  Plenty of others have made the complaint so hopefully they change that but thank you for the feeback.

 

The minor factions and superweapons will get a toggle I hope soon.  They seem to be a non issue if you're on top of your influence but, if you want to disregard it all together or level the playing field it'd be nice to just get rid of them.

Remember that there's a search bar in the research tree, and it will even highlight findings in the other tree. So if you need to find something that you don't quite know where is, you can just start typing at it will highlight stuff associated with that word.
