Multiplayer bug

So when I go to multiplayer at the top it says NOT LOGGED IN. Also it gives me an error message in red saying: "Error sending request to 'https://ico-api.stardock.net/api/logins/steam'. schannel: failed to receive handshake, SSL/TLS connection failed [10].

Note: I purchased Sins 2 from Steam and are running it from the steam app on my PC. I also have tried to Login www.stardock.net to see if it will work that way. I would love to be able to play this game in multiplayer. 

Is there even multiplayer for this game? Please Help! How do I get it to work?

Myself and a number of my friends all have this same issue.  The whole point of buying this game was to play with friends.  The fact that nobody has acknowledged this issue makes it sound like this bug is being addressed ignored?

Hello! This was previously addressed back in late August, this typically ended up being a verification file issue, rather than a widespread one related to the games multiplayer system. May I ask what you've tried to resolve this with so far so I have a better understanding of the situation?

Yes, we tried verifying files, restarting (game, steam, and then PC), and even reinstalling.
