Cannot complete Galaxy Overview tutorial because tilda does not scrub orbits

Apologies as I cannot really provide much information beyond 'it doesn't work'. I've searched the forums and not found any topics related to scrubbing future orbits, or the galaxy overview tutorial

The tutorial (step 17) asks you to hold the tilda key to scrub orbits - but holding they key, clicking, not clicking - nothing does anything. I've tried other keys (such as backtick, pipe, number keys, f keys, letter keys, the brackets above the tilda or weird punctuation keys to the left of it), but none of  them do anything either.

Switching windows to use my keyboard as a 'US' keyboard (I would normally use DAN/UKX) just results in everything getting even more wrong, and the tilda key still doesn't work there either.

I've tried assigning a new key in the settings - but it just says I am pressing the double quote (") key, and won't let me bind it to anything. I've tried to reverse engineer which key the game thinks the tilda key is to no avail. I've tried binding other keys, but again they just flash up on screen and don't let me bind them.

The result is that it is impossible to complete the tutorial.

I'd appreciate any help anyone has!

Hello! I just went through that tutorial again, and It says to HOLD the tilde key and move your mouse side to side (left and right) it isnt just a hold or hotkey press

Thanks! Sadly this doesn't seem to do anything either - the problem seems to be that the key the game wants me to press doesn't exist, and you can't rebind it.

Hey I struggled with this as well as it wasn't clear what key the game wanted me to press.. however after trail and error I found the key required (for me at least ) is the key with the @ on it.. very near my enter key. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the follow up, may I ask what format keyboard you are all using, just to clarify details? For example I use an english QWERTY format one
