Start11: full screen windows get behind start bar

Start11 does not always set correct desktop size (screen size minus start11 size)

Start11 v2 2.08

Hello,

I notice that Start11 does not set the correct desktop height. Therefor all maximized windows get their lower part behind the start11 bar.

I use two monitors, it happens at both of them.

Only solution is to restore the window size and then make them full screen again.

PS Setting the start11 to hide hasn't worked ever consistently, so I removed that idea, even though that was how I was used to work with Windows itself.

I have this same issue.  I used to be able to disable "let start 11 enhance the taskbar", and then re-enable it and it would fix it.

Unfortunately this doesn't seem to be working anymore.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more information.

  1. Windows 10/11? Its full version and OS Build number. Use Winver.exe
  2. I assume both is on Start11v2.08, yes?
  3. Please post a video this issue happening so we can understand it better.

Thank you.

I have the same issue, taskbar overrides full screen apps, the apps doesn't dock properly above startmenu when Start11 V2.11 service is running.

Windows 11 Pro

23H2  Build 22631.4169

Start 11 V2.11

This has been for a while, like the two latest builds i believe.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Is this on specific application running full screen? I tested and I can not reproduce your issue. This is Youtube full screen. Start11 v2.11

Thank you.

Happening for me, too, on secondary monitors. Windows 11 24H2 26100.1742, Start11 2.11.

At the moment I can see it with both Teams and the Windows Settings app.

I don't know what you need to see in the video. This time I had the behaviour with Firefox on the primary monitor.

Thank you for the video, that really help me understand it better. Please try this, uninstall Start11. Please don't choose "Remove Settings" when ask. Reboot immediately after the uninstall finished. Re-download Start11 latest version from your account download page. Install it, reboot immediately again. Retest and report back.

Thank you,
