The crash appears fairly  just after the current research is completed in the current turn. (fleet resupply).  It has ocurred several times so I am hopeful that it can be reproduced.  I did try validating files but it didn't seem to help.

Thanks, I hope it helps!  This morning I am getting the crash repeatedly when I hit the next turn button.  Continuing to fiddle, maybe I'll discover something.

Note: I tried changing the research (fleet resupply is on its last year to completion) but it didn't help.

I tried to load the "crash save" and to play it forward, as there has been a hot patch.  Amazingly I was able to play without incident.   Thank you very much! I had about 10 hours into this game and was hoping against hope that I could finish it.  Looks like I will!  Thanks.
