Something is not right with Altarian Ship Data - where is "Cutting Principal" in ship designer?

I have noticed GC4-Supernova flakes out over "Cutting Principal".

FYI - "Cutting Principal" is the standard Altarian Cruiser-sized beam wpn ship.

In game, sometimes it shows up, sometimes it doesn't.

"Cutting Principal" is not listed in the ship designer.  The closest is "Concluding Words M0".

"Medium-size combat ship of balanced capabilities. Could form the backbone of any fleet."

Ok, let's take that one and try to recreate the missing "Cutting Principal" from it ....

start new design.... blah blah.... modify.... save....

well, what do you know? Instead of trying to save it as "Concluding Words M0" (default name), it tries to save it as the missing "Cutting Principal M0".

Guys, I seriously think your default ship data is screwed up, at least for the Altarians.

At the least, it should be using the correct default name and description associated with "Concluding Words M0".

It is as if the data is cross-linked between those 2 ship designs.

I'm not sure what your trying to point out here. If you create a new ship type it will populate the default name. If you take the steps to upgrade a design it will retain the name of the design.

It's not really a bug. Also, you can rename the ship how you feel. Much of this is from the classification of ships that has been mostly retired in GC4 Supernova. In early GC4 and in previous games weapons were more of a rock paper scissors. The Cutting Principal is a Altarian ship was a corvette type or a medium ship with beam weapons. The Concluding Words is an Altarian ship was a paladin type or a medium ship with balanced weapons. So if you have multiple types of weapons that name is chosen.

For presets you'll probably see mostly balanced types since the presets are designed generally have all three weapon types.

As before it's mostly a flavor thing and the ship designer tries to pick a name using the old designations but it has no impact on the game.

I actually didn't change anything.

I just re-saved the same wpn configuration from Concluding Words M0. Should have kept the same default name.

1. Cutting Principal M0 is missing from the Ship Designer.

2. Actually found Cutting Principal M0 (Cruiser) .... appears to be linked to Immoveable Stream M0 (Battleship) - which does not look right at all.

This is what I would expect to see for Immovable Stream....

I would also expect to find "Cutting Principle M0" at the top level of the ship design heirarchy, like the other primary design types.

As, the following....
