Singularity Power Plant(s)

The name on this tech should probably be changed to the singular, as it only allows you to build one of these.

I know, I got confused the 1st time I researched it thinking I would finally get a planet-level manufacturing improvement.

But no, :(

And correct the spelling of "facility" (there should not be an "s" in it).

Hey, thanks for the feedback!

You can check the specs of such things by holding shift and hovering mouse over the unlocked structure. Galactic Achievement indicates it's a 1 per galaxy building :)

Yes, I know that now.

But when viewing the names in the tech tree, the tech name "Singularity Power Plants", implies you can build more than just one.

Cool, I'm researching Singularity Power Plants.... but wait, I can only build one? WTF?

If you can only buld one... in the entire galaxy... then it would be more clear if the tech was named "Singularity Power Plant" from the onset.

What makes this one so prone to confusion I think is that you have a preq tech name that almost matches the improvement name - but plural incorrectly used in tech name.

There are only around 3 like this I think.

  • Tech:"Singularity Power Plants" -> "Singularity Power Plant"
    • Galaxy Wonder = true
    • 1 allowed per galaxy
  • Tech:"Manufacturing Capitals" -> "Manufacturing Capital"
    • Player Wonder = true
    • 1 allowed per player
  • Tech:"Fusion Power Plants" -> "Fusion Power Plant"
    • Player Wonder = true
    • 1 allowed per player
  •

In prior iterations of GC, you could have multiple Fusion Power Plants per player (1 per planet).  I can't remember if that was the case for Manufacturing Capitals or Singularity Power Plants.

To me, it appears that some of this is legacy data that was never completely updated for how it is now currently used in GC4-Supernova.

I can see how that could effect overall quality, ive passed along the suggestion

Another example of why the wording is so misleading / confusing.

This is a case where "Singularity Power Plants" would be more clear as "The Singularity Power Plant" and remove any ambiguity.

Singularity is an astrophysical phenomenon, present in the big bang and black holes.  In this scifi scenario, they manage to harness the singularity state to produce power.  I don't have an issue with it.
