After 24h2, the explorer title is no longer just the folder name, but the folder name + "- File Explorer" suffix. The groupy tab title should be repaired so that the "- File Explorer" suffix does not appear on every tab. It should be like before, the tab name only displays the folder name.

I now see this behavior in Windows 11 Pro - 22635.3930.
NOTE: With Groupy turned off, "- File Explorer" is not appended to the folder name.
EDIT: This also happens for all grouped apps, e.g. NotePad, Word; Excel
Did anyone ever figure out why Groupy2 appends the App name to each tab and Windows does not?

This bug is kind of really annoying, please fix it ASAP!

Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, as mentioned in reply#2, this is known and already be logged. This should be resolved on the next update release.
Do note there is a new Groupy v2.20 beta released recently, have you tried this version? https://forums.stardock.com/531117

Nicely done! I've tried beta release 2.20 before while that old beta verion presists this issue.
This verion of beta release solved the problem, everything works fine now.
PS my build information:
Windows 11 23H2 22631.4317
Groupy 2: Groupy2_2.2.0.1-j146-Setup_sd.exe (this beta version fixs the problem)
