Object Dock tabs and other issues

1. How can I increase the width of the dock without increasing the icon size? Right now, the only way to increase the width of the dock across the screen is by increasing the icon size?

2. Icon size is limited to 128 px which increases the width of the dock to span half the width of my screen. How can I make the dock span the entire width of the monitor/screen?

3. How can I drag and drop shortcuts (application, files) on the dock? Right now I have to use the add shortcut button and browse for the file.

4. The color choices for tabs is limited to 10 colors. Is there more choices of colors? If not, please provide an entire color palette in next version.

5. I previously requested this functionality to be able to show/hide a dock using a keyboard shortcut. Please provide an entire color palette in next version.

6. When I added more than 7 shortcuts in a tab the shortcuts overflow to the next page and a + icon is shown to navigate to the next page. Instead of this method can you increase the size of the tab area so that all shortcuts are visible on the main page itself. This would show all shortcuts on one page for quick access otherwise image accessing a shortcut on 8th page and that too if I know the shortcut is on 8th page. If I don't know on what page the shortcut is on then it is time wasted searching all pages for the shortcut.

Thanks

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues.

  1. I believe, there is currently no such option on normal dock, but on tabbed dock, you can click and drag to size. Just make sure to unlock the dock first.
  2. No option ni normal dock, but in tab dock you can click and drag to almost full monitor width.
  3. I can drag a shortcut directly from my Windows Explorer to Dock. And I also can drag from my Desktop to a dock.
  4. For the tabbed dock, you can choose Custom and select color refer screenshot below.
  5. If feature request has been pushed, Support will review and decide on it.
  6. As suggested in no.1 try the click and drag thing to extend the tabs dock horizontal size.

Change tab color:

Thanks
