How do I Close/Exit Start11 v1?

Hi.

I have a paid license for Start11 v1 but I want to uninstall it from my PC which is running Windows 11.

When I tried to uninstall it I get a window that says, "If Start11 is currently running, please close it before proceeding with the uninstallation."

Start11 is, indeed, running.

However, I looked at all the settings and searched the documentation and I don't see any way to close/exit it.

Am I supposed to just kill the process using, for example, Task Manager?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Not sure why normal Windows uninstall procedure don't work on your system. You can use the purge part of this guide to remove Start11 from your system. : https://forums.stardock.com/505872/start11-support-faq#reinstalling.

Thanks, I will do that.

But is there a way to close/exit from Start11 so it is not running besides closing the process from the Task Manager?

You can unload all Start11 using Start10Tweak.exe, should be available in here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Start11. Click on "Unload Start10 now button". That, I believe, should unload Star11 too.

Never seen that in Start 10 pelaird and can't find it, where did that Start 10 Tweak come from? I have been using Start 10 forever.

Oh, and they are asking about Start 11 though, not Start 10. :-)

Start10tweak.exe will still work for Start10 and Start11. It should be in Start10 directory too.

This app is in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Start11 (or Start10)" folder

I've been using Stardock Start programs since 2012. I just upgraded to Start11 on my Windows11 computer.  Start11 is not working at all. No matter what I select, the start menu does not change.  I am trying to uninstall it and hope I can reinstall the version I had previously.  But I am having exactly the same problem as rfast is having.  This product is terrible. What has happened to Stardock?
