Can players edit variant rules in game setup?

 

Such as:

No titans?

No superweapons?

No special system (TEC Trade, Vasari phase, Advent culture)?

Frigates and Cruisers only?

Etc.

I don't think so but it is beta. It very likely will considering you could in the last one. You are asking questions as if the game was completed. But if you edit out culture or something you might as well just not have the race on the map at all. That makes no sense to remove of identifies the differences of the three.
