UI Bug - Start 11 v2.08

Start Menu -> Configuration and Taskbar Settings not displaying properly.

I'm encountering a bug on three different machines with Start 11 installed.

All three machines are running Start 11 v2.08

When I go into the Start 11 settings, there are a couple of areas that are not displaying properly.

Start Menu > Configuration

Taskbar

All other areas seem to be displaying as expected.

See Screenshots below.

Windows 11 full version and build xxxxx.xxxx?

Did this just start all of a sudden, or with the 2.08 update?

Did you recently update your display driver?

Edition Windows 11 Pro

Version 23H2

Installed on ‎1/‎18/‎2024

OS build 22631.3593

Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22700.1003.0

These are the details from my laptop, but I am seeing the same behavior on another laptop and a VM.

I have not recently updated my display driver.

I first noticed this in v2.08.

I didn't see this in previous versions, but I can't say for sure that it only started in v2.08.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Just to verify, are you on non-english display language environment? This usually reported on such environment or on high scale display setting such as on 200%-300% scale?

If not on both, please try this, uninstall Start11, reboot immediately, re-download latest version from your account, install it, reboot again, retest and report back.

Thank you

Hello Basj,

Thank you for your response.

After looking into the scale display setting, I discovered that my main laptop had a recommended scale of 125%, which is where it was set.

I changed that to 100% and the UI issue disappeared.

I use this machine regularly to connect to both my other laptop and the VM via RDP, which is why the issue was showing up there as well.

I still think it's strange that all the other screens in the UI handled the scaling without issue, but the two mentioned previously were unable to adapt.

Maybe it's still a bug to be squashed, maybe ignored.

Either way it's no longer an issue for me.

Thanks for pointing me towards the display scaling settings on my machine.
