Start menu

When I click on start menu it only fills quarter of the screen even though I have enabled full screen. This only happens with object desktop. When I use the normal task bar start menu bottom it opens in full screen mode. Something seems to be wrong within object desktop. Anyone have a solution? Paul

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more information on your system.

  1. Windows 10 or 11? Also need its full build number. Please use Winver.exe
  2. Start11 version number.
  3. Please post screenshot of your Start menu.

Thank you.

It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with Object Desktop, specifically with the Start menu not opening in full-screen mode as expected.

Sometimes, simply restarting the Object Desktop software can resolve minor glitches or issues. Close Object Desktop completely and then reopen it to see if the problem persists.

Do know that Object Desktop come with lot of individual software, when finding issues, it best to identify those individual software that causing the issue. Object Desktop manager do not interfere with how these software work. It just monitor the software version and tell you if there is a newer version available and some other things. So to think that restart Object Desktop would solve an issue, would be highly unlikely.

Thank you,

After setting up a Quicklaunch Dock and setting Start11 to Full Screen, I noticed the following.

If Start11 is not set to Full Screen and the Start button on the Quicklaunch dock is clicked, the Start menu opens to the right of the button.

If Start11 is set to Full Screen and the Start button on the Quicklaunch dock is clicked, the Start menu opens to the left of the button. So, if your quicklaunch dock is in positioned in the center of the screen, you will only see half of it because the other half is off the screen.

It doesn't seem to matter whether the Start11 taskbar Start button is positioned to the left or centered.

I'm not sure if this is intended or a bug.

Windows 11 Pro - 22635-3570; Start11v2 - 2.08; ObjectDock 3.0.1.4

Note to Basj: If you can reproduce these findings, it should probably be reported to the Dev team.

Reproduced the issue and look like it also the cutoff issue also happen on not full screen start menu if the Start menu open via Object Dock Start button. You can see it clearly when your dock is on the left or right edge of the screen. Something like my screenshot below.

I have forward this issue to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.

Thanks
