Is the Cybernetic Civ Ability still not functional? I'm playing a custom Synthetic Civ with that ability but don't see access to the 3 Techs it's supposed to unlock.

Is the Cybernetic Civ Ability still not functional? I'm playing a custom Synthetic Civ with that ability but don't see access to the 3 Techs it's supposed to unlock.

I can see these 3 techs in game (in the tree with xeno medicine). However the final one - "Immortality" doesn't have any effect listed. Hopefully Stardock will balance these unique techs and give proper description to their effects soon. Also, I'd like to see more uniqe techs tied to abilities. For example, a Hive mind ability currently doesn't have any at all, although possibilities are quite vast in this case.
Edit: I think i'm on a regular 2.5 version, not 2.5.5. Probably that's why you can't see these techs. That would be weird though.

I am on the latest build and have those techs in a custom made civ.
One thought I have is did you update your Civ when you updated your game.
If not just go to new game, edit civ, and save Civ it will sync your civ with the current version.
Had a Civ not do as expected several patches ago and by doing the above got it to work.
If that is not the case then IDK what to do.
As stated to Sci on current version and not only do I have these techs but the last on Immortality has a description and in it says it is a capstone which as you likely know means it can be researched over and over.
The 10% growth will not be added if you do research it again and will be lost if you research any other tech. both actions are WAD.
Yeah, but repetitive 10 % growth is so boring. Cyborgs deserve more unique and interesting techs...
gypsy2299 - Tried your suggestion, but it didn't work. Tried changing to Engineers, and those techs showed up. Switched back to Cybernetics and they didn't show up.
I tried switching abilities so that Cybernetics was in the 1st ability slot - no change.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling game - no change.
I tried turning off Mods - no change.
I tried turning off Warlords - no change.
I tried creating a new custom civ by copying Yor and adding Cybernetic Ability - no change.
I even downloaded the Borg from the Workshop - the techs weren't there.
Could you please post a game on lockbox that works for you that I could try.
Finally got it to work. Downloaded a silicon race from the Workshop and added the Cybernetic ability. The techs were there.
I copied my original Custom Civ and made them a Silicon race. Techs were there. Switched them back to Synthetic and no go. Tried all the other races and techs appeared. So the answer seems to be that you cannot use the Cybernetic ability on a Synthetic race. I guess this makes sense when I think about it. Synthetic races are robotic, so Cybernetics would be redundant.
The syn/cyber not working together is known IIRC and believe is WAD.
My bad as with the screen you made and the Leader image, I thought your Civ was Human till you pointed out it was syn I then noticed the Yor cit in the lower left.

I looked further into it the Xeno medicine tech is blocked by being synthetic so all tech after that would be blocked.
You can see all the allowed/blocked techs by putting your cursor over the synthetic selection and reading them you will need to hold "shift" as there are many many and lots and lots of them.
