Game crashing on startup - assert errors

Hello

Running Windows 11 with latest version of Sins 2. Cannot start either primary game or test game and keep getting assert errors. No windows updates have occurred recently on my system. An example of one of the errors (i get 4 similar notifications before game closes):

ASSERT(a.id != b.id)

version=1.21.9 (121)

log=C:\Users\ehunt\AppData\Local\sins2\logs\sins2_log_21672.txt

Uninstalled and reinstalled game. same set of errors.

Please advise

I was playing earlier today.  I am getting the same error message trying to start the game.

Same issue, but I crashed out of game after clicking on "quit game" to close out a play session. Wasn't allowed back in. Something broke, lol.

hotfixed on epic.

caused by this: so in the computer world, lots of computer time things are referenced relative to "epoch: Thu Jan 1 00:00:00 1970". so when our game hit exactly 476233 hours since then, then our random generator seeded by that exact hour caused a very rare situation to occur and crash. think of it kind of like a Y2K bug. ridiculously rare situation.

Neat.

I went from feeling sad I couldn't play to feeling lucky to have encountered something so random. XD
