Start11 (v1) doesn't texture whole tasbkar

Since Tuesday this week, Start11 hasn't been able to texture/color/transparent the whole taskbar.

Default Taskbar Items and the System Icons regions are white or dark grey colored now. I wasn't on latest version of Start11, but updating to 1.5 didn't help.

Did Start11 break because of a Windows 11 update?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know.

  1. Windows 11 full version number. Use Winver.exe
  2. Post screenshots of this issue.

Thank you.

Windows 11 Professional, 22H2, OS-build 22621.3296
Start11 (v1) 1.5.

I don't believe I've seen this issue since the very beginning of Start11

I wonder if the version of Start11 you downloaded and installed might have somehow gotten corrupted during a download. Sometimes weird things can happen with a download. It might be helpful to uninstall the app, download it again, reinstall, and see if that resolves your situation.

This is what I get when I applied taskbar texture on Start11v1.5.

Do you have any other 3rd party application running in the background that also changing your taskbar/Window explorer/Start menu? If you do, please uninstall it, reboot again test it and report back.

Thank you,

3java3: I dont have Start11 set to download updates automatically (it was 1.3 something before I updated it to 1.5 on wednesday). I've had Start11 installed since 1 or 2 months after Windows 11 was officially released, and the only time I remember seeing issues like this was early on (or on Start10 on Windows 10).

Basj: The only program I can think of is Winaero Tweaker, but it's not running anything in the background, and the only tweak used was the Classic Context menu change, and that was changed back in 2022.

As for Windows Updates, the only updates I have are the daily anti-virus updates for Microsoft Defender. the latest quality update was made on the 14th of March.

Only other Stardock product I have running is Fences 3.1.3.3

I do however notice that using the default Windows Start logo, it's no textured, but as soon as I use a custom image, it does get textured

Uninstall Start11, reboot (critical), reinstall Start11 1.5

Does that fix it?

So far it did, thanks!

I'll post a reply in case a reboot screws it up again XD
