ObjectDock 3 issues and questions

Hi - Can you please answer my questions about ObjectDock 3?

1. I previously purchased ObjectDock 2. Will I get a free upgrade to ObjectDock 3?

2. In settings, when I select the checkbox 'Enable Aero Peek on running tasks' my selection is not getting saved. The checkbox is getting unchecked.

3. Is there a hotkey I can specify or configure in ObjectDock 3 that will show ObjectDock when the hotkey is pressed, similar to when the mouse hovers at the edge of the screen?

Thanks.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues.

  1. No, ObjectDock 3 is a paid upgrade. But, I believe, there is discount offered for previous version owner.
  2. This is known issue and the Dev has inform that this feature no longer work on OD3 and that checkbox will be remove on the next update. This is due to compatibility issue with current Windows 10/11.
  3. There is an option to "Prevent Docks from hiding when WinKey+D is pressed" in "Advance Tweaks" section.

Thank you.

Thanks Basj.

With respect to #3, 'Prevent Docks...' is not what I am looking for. I am looking to have a keyboard shortcut to unhide and show the dock just as I can do with a mouse hover. Sometimes, it is fast and convenient (and I use keyboard a lot) to just use keyboard shortcut than to use a mouse.

1. Both Calc and Windows Settings icons keep appearing in my Quicklaunch dock. I close them, and sometime later they are back. I would like this never to happen. How can I do that?

2. I have a number of shortcuts to documents created with LibreOffice 'writer' and 'calc' in my tabbed doc for quick access. I created icons for these programs. I also have shortcuts to 'writer' and 'calc' (the programs). At some point, on its own, ObjectDock assigned the icons I gave the documents to the applications. I regard this as a bug: ObjectDock should, in my opinion, never make its own decisions about anything like this. It should only attach a new icon to a shortcut if the user asks it to.

Thanks.

Good evening - I would like to buy ObjectDock3, but there are some ERRORS: 1) - If I create a CMD Icon as Administrator, it only works if I go to the ObjectDock3.exe and ObjectDockUI.exe Installation folder and configure them to access in Administrator mode, otherwise you cannot configure the Icon to access as Admin. - 2) - There is no option to make the System Tray visible in ObjectDock3 - only by reactivating the Windows Bar to check the installed items - It would be interesting in the ObjectDock3 Bar to have the System Tray option, as there are several programs accessed that always need it be monitored.
