ObjectDock Icons Missing and Adding Folder to Library results in an Error

ObjectDock 3 issues

One of my clients is missing all their icon references in ObjectDock 3.

When trying to add the icon 'folder' to the icon library, selecting a folder causes an error because the file selector filter isn't folders; for some reason, the filter is for icon files instead, resulting in a folder being able to be selected.

Also, after adding a single icon to the library, the icon doesn't appear.

Thus, the icon library is completely 'empty'

Sorry to hear you having issue. Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here: [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

Same. I can't find all my old icons to replace an icon. They are on the disk but I don't know how to tell the software where they are or where to drag them. Is reinstalling the only answer?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try this, right click the icon/program on your dock that you wish to change the icon-> select Change this icons/shortcut..-> Dock Icon properties open-> Click on "Change Icon" button-> Choose Icon Window open-> In the address box click the drop down menu arrow. ref screenshot below.

Choose/browse to which folder you wish to add-> Enter that folder->Select any icon within that folder->Click open->The icons within that folder will appear in your Icons folder list. Something like screenshot below.

Thank you.

Thanks, that works, but just once. I have to do the same thing each time I want to change an icon. Is there a way to add a path to the list?

Don't that folder get listed under the "Bundled Images"?

The folder shown is C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\ObjectDock\Docklets\Power\icons. So, I just copied all my icon folders into that folder. However, when it opens on that, it shows all the folders as empty, even though I know they aren't. It even shows the folders that were there before I copied mine as empty, so I must have broken it somehow.

Same problem here.  The Choose Icon list shows the Bundled Images and Docklets folders with their subfolders but clicking on any of them reports This folder is empty.  The icon folders are on the computer in the Stardock/ObjectDock folder and I can see the individual icons, but they do not appear in the Choose Icon list.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Perhaps, you can try remove and re-add those folders and see if the icons appear.
