Does not stay maximized

Just upgraded to Groupy 2.  Uninstalled Groupy before install Groupy 2.  Using Windows 10.  When I group 2 maximized windows they do not stay maximized.  I have to manually maximize the group.  This was not a problem with Groupy 1.  Is there some setting I need to change or is this a bug?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, I can not reproduce your issue on my system. I can group two maximized Windows together and it stay maximize. Need to know more on your issue.

  1. Windows 10/11 full version number. Please use Winver.exe
  2. Groupy 2 version number.
  3. Your Groupy setting on
    1. Place tabs above or integrated.
    2. tab appearance.
    3. Grouping setting. Manual grouping by drag and drop->Only group windows when ctrl key is help down or etc?
    4. Any grouping rules?
  4. Screen/s resolutions and scale applied (100%, 150%, 200% etc)

Thank you.

Hi Basj,

In answer to your questions:

Windows 10 ver 22H2

Place tabs above

Tab appearance - traditional tabs, add background is OFF, make tabs taller is ON, Always visible selected

Grouping is manual by drag & drop, always group when moved on top, only group if held 1/3 second

No Grouping rules

Screen resolution is 1920x1080, 100%

Thanks for our assistance!

I can not reproduce your issue on my system. Please review my video below. See if the steps you take different that what you see in my video. Let me know so I can try it and see if that could make the issue show up.

Is the issue only happen on Excel or MS Office application? Please try and see if the issue also happen between notepad and Explorer as my video.

This happens with all applications, including your example of explorer and notepad.

It happens when trying to group 2 windows of the same application, or 2 windows of different applications.

This did NOT happen with Groupy 1.  Only began when I upgraded to Groupy 2.

Thanks.

Perhaps something not get replaced properly when you install over Groupy2 over Groupy1. Try this uninstall Groupy, reboot immediately after, re-download latest version. Install that one. Reboot immediately again after installation finished. Retest it and report back.

Well this is odd.  I in fact  DID uninstall Groupy 1 before I installed Groupy 2 the first time.

But I did as you suggested and uninstalled & re-installed Groupy 2, and now all works fine.

Thanks for your help!
