help needed

well, if you are familiar with the registry you can look at the uninstall entry in the registry and see hwere it expects the log to be and verify whether it is in fact there. If it isn't, the easiest way to fix it is to re-run the install, reboot if asked and then immediately uninstall it. This should remove all of the files.

I should mention, you probably won't find many people here interested in helping out with StyleXP problems considering the latest shenanigans pulled by TGTSoft.. Once you get that crap removed, take a look into Windowblinds, I've been using it for ages and only tinkered with msstyles shortly out of sheer morbid curiosity! L8r!

Did you delete the winstyle folder first before you tried to uninstall it from control panel?

i didnt delete the win style folder and i did try reinstalling and then uninstalling but that didnt work either i guess i could try that again unless anyone has any other ideas

well, there's always the manual approach.. remove all the registry entries, replace the patched dll by hand and delete the folder..

i have no clue how to do most of that apart from deleting the files lol

ok, forget I mentioned it then because messing around in the registry can cause all sorts of problems.. Trust me, I've killed my machine a time or two by deleting keys that I didn't think were necessary.. Not a pretty site at all. Sorry I couldn't be more help but unfortunately if re-installing didn't work there may be something wrong with the installer you have. Maybe you can try installing the latest version and using it to remove what you have installed..

no worries i fixed it for some reasing the log file wasnt where it should be thanks for the help guys
