Groupy 2: Grouping Rules for App Blocking stops working

I'm using Groupy 2 on Windows 11, and I'm coming across a bug where my grouping rules for "Block / allow applications" stops working after a while.
I have it set to prevent browser windows from automatically getting grouped as I open up dev tools all the time and don't want it grouped when I open it.
My grouping rules will work for weeks, but then suddenly they stop working and I have to go back into the grouping rules and make a change in order for the rules to work again.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. From what I recall, could not remember any other report on this one. Specially when it happen after weeks of no issue. Need to know few things.

  1. Your system is on without reboots for weeks?
  2. What you need to do when the issue happen, how you change the block/allow applications and make it working again?
  3. When it happen, if you try restart "Explorer.exe" does the issue still there?

Thank you.

Hi,

  1. I usually keep my computer running during the week and I turn it off on the weekends
  2. To get the rule to take affect again, I usually check on and off  the "Only allow specified applications to be in a Group" checkbox
  3. I'll have to test that the next time it happens

Overall its a very intermittent bug, I have not been able to find a way to reproduce it.
Not sure if this helps any, but I used to use the first Groupy app on my windows 10 machine in the same way, but I never came across this issue, so its something unique with Groupy 2.
