Groups move to active desktop on unlock

I noticed recently that when i lock and then unlock my PC groups that i have on the main monitor show up on the active desktop. It doesn't happen on the other monitors. I have a group on each monitor in dekstop 3. Usually i switch to desktop 1 (general use dekstop) before locking my computer. after some time when i unlock the group on the main monitor will be on desktop 1 and i have to move it back to desktop 3

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know few more information.

  1. Windows full version numbers. Please use Winver.exe.
  2. Groupy version numbers.
  3. Locked group of any application or specific application.
  4. If possible, post a video on this issue so we can understand it better.

Thank you.

Latest W11 GA release

Latest groupy beta

I really only use groupy with one application so i havent tried it with any others

I doubt i can make a video since it requires locking my pc and then unlocking it.

Steps to reproduce

1. Switch to a different desktop (Create one if you only have one)

2. Open a group on that desktop

3. Switch back to the first desktop

4. Lock the PC (Win+L)

5. Unlock the PC (Enter password/pin/windows hello/whatever)

The group which used to be on the second desktop will now be on the first one. As i said i have more than one monitor. I have a group on each of them but only the group thats on the Main monitor (The one with the systray) seems to move. The other ones stay on the right desktop.

Just to update. I did indeed find the problem. The app was redrawing the window when unlocked which would bring it to the front. So problem fixed. I still haven't found the cause for the drop target window problem. However at least this one has been solved. (Indeed it was a me only thing). Again thanks for the help.
