Key to Toggle Planet flags

I'd really like an option to assign a key to toggle off planet "flags" when I press it. I find they really obscure the tactical view around the planets.

Apologies in advance if there is such a key; I've searched for something like it but have not come up with anything.

Hi there,

Thanks for the suggestion. Could you please attach a screenshot of what you mean by "Planet Flags" with the specific images or icons you're referring to? It would help our team better understand your request.

Here's an image. First, some context: the image you see is 1920x1080 but the screen I use is actually 3840x2160 on a 32" monitor. I spend much of my time at a zoom level like this because I can see wide swaths of the galaxy while clearly seeing ship, star base and planet locations.

I'd just like to be able to toggle off the planet "labels" so I can see what's going on underneath without having to zoom into the area I'm interested in and thus losing the larger context. Take, for example, the cosmic contaminant that I currently have under siege. I wouldn't need to zoom into their planets if I could just press a key to toggle off the planet "labels". Instead, what I have to do now is move the mouse over the label to have it disappear but as soon as I move the mouse to the next label the one that had disappeared now reappears. This means that I can never see the entire area flag-free without zooming in.

Maybe this is only an issue for players with big monitors at 4K resolution whose eyes are decaying from their advanced years. Still, it would be a nice feature to have. :-)

I don't use as big a screen as you do, but I do played zoomed out a lot of the time. Mousing over the planets makes the labels fade out so you can see what's behind them, but I agree that a hotkey would make it more convenient.
