[Bug] No border on Groupy tab bar in the light mode

Groupy tab bar's boundaries become unreadable when white background behind it

When there's white background behind Groupy's tab bar, it blends with it because it has neither border nor drop shadow.

I'm running Windows 11 23H2 (22631.3155)

I believe the same also applies to "Mica background" mode, as it can be clearly seen where native window border ends:

Interestingly enough, the border seems to appear normally when window is not in focus:

Also, I have to note that I disabled "Show accent color on title bars" in System settings:
gui - How do I get the border to show on the Windows File Explorer when active? - Super User

When I enable this option, border shows normally.

I also realized now that this bug is present even on one of the promo materials on Groupy's web page

Also, problem seem to only appear with the light mode of Groupy tab bar.

Thats an old screenshot.  If you open powerpoint you should see a red border in any current version of Groupy 2.

Is this perhaps only happening with explorer windows?

I notice you seem to have modified your OS to hack back in the Windows ribbon into Windows 11.  This may impact Groupy as the behaviour of borders is influenced by the OS it thinks it is running on.

Unfortunately no, it happens with any app

I don't think so — I also have Stardock Groupy 1.5 installed on the same system and setup, and it shows border correctly:

The latest build of Groupy has a tweak but it will only impact explorer windows as that was the only windows impacted and only if the tabs were not integrating with the titlebar which is what would normally happen on Windows 11.

Please note we would not recommend altering your OS to bring back the ribbon on Windows 11.  This is not something we run or provide support on.

Also having both Groupy 2 and 1 installed will not work.  It is very much a case of one or the other as they share configs.

Groupy 1.x also does not support Windows 11.

Thank you, it was fast! I will test it.

Yes, I had to reinstall to get the tab bar from 1.5 to show up... It works just fine for me on Windows 11, I would say it even feels a bit faster and snappier than 2.0, but it lacks few useful features and design improvements from the update.
