Icon Developer icons not able to apply after creating

Icon Developer Icons not working in Windows 11

I am a very visual person and when my computer graphics are not working I am slowed down a lot. I depend on Stardock Icon Developer to create my icons.

After creating an icon in Icon Developer where Imported a .jpeg and then saved it as a file.ico, I then tried to apply the icon to shortcut on my desktop. Instead of getting the icon I am use to getting a get a white box almost in the shape of a page. Can somone who is way smarter than me help me figure this out. I tried using different browses and got the same results. Is there a way to contact support for Stardock on this because I could not find it on their page. Are they like the wizard of Oz behind like the guy behind the curtrain that does not wan to be bothered?''

If you know the anser I would appreciate a email do [email protected] (edited off, please do not post your email in a public forum)

thanks

I am having similar problem. White paper icon in explorer and unable to change. I think it has something to do with the program nit recognizing an icon that is smaller than 128 pixels.

Any number of them. You cross your fingers and hope it works. it doesn’t stay the same every time you hit the apply button I tried to change the desktop icons upon hitting the apply icon button. Some of the desktop buttons changed, and the explore default folder, both open and closed disappeared, and change to a plain white square picture. I have tried repeatedly to change the default open and closed folder, and they will not change until I actually had to deinstall icon packager to get them back to where they’re supposed to be. On another occasion, I changed the desktop icon for the recycle bin, and the rest of the folders on the desktop. Upon hitting the apply button, the desktop folders that I marked for change changed to completely different icons. For example, the recycle bin picture showed up on the network, computer shortcut and the control panel icon showed up on the network shortcut. I suspected the problem might’ve been with the size of the icons I was using and tried to different size but that didn’t matter either, Both the 128 pixel and the 256 pixel ones did not work.

Are you using IconPackager to change those icons?

Isn’t that what we are talking about? Yes I select the icon in icon packager, save my package and hit the Apply Now button.

No, the title is on Icon developer not icon packager, that is why I am asking.

Do know that Icon Packager are not full compatible with Windows 11. Please refer here: https://forums.stardock.com/505717/stardock-app-compatibility. So, it might or might not work on your Windows 11 system.
