The Fences boxes do not scroll with the trackpad.

I installed Fences and immediately noticed that the scrolling of the boxes does not work with the trackpad using two-finger scrolling, while it works perfectly with the mouse wheel. I also tried clicking on the box to scroll but without success.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please share with us more information on your system.

  1. Windows full version number. Use Winver.exe
  2. Fences version.

Thank you.

Do know that Stardock does not support Windows 11 Insider/Beta build. However, I have forwarded your problem to Stardock Support Team for their review. We appreciate your feedback.

Just because I recently decided I wanted to remove myself from the windows insider program without having to do a clean install I thought I would share how I did it

As a side note for the issue. Two finger scrolling is working for me using a non insider build.

Thank you for sharing. It wasn't even working for you in the insider channel?

Incompatibility with precision trackpads / is a known issue, but something we’re continuing to look into workarounds.

Thank you for your reply. I'm glad to know that you are working on resolving this bug, however, since it was already reported to you in 2017, what credit can we give to you and how could we hope for a resolution before the end of the decade?
I bought 5 licenses, TWO of which are intended for hybrid Microsoft Surface PCs, your site does not mention this incompatibility... it is completely unusable as it stands on these two PCs... I have the impression for throwing away money... I hope you will really work seriously and FAST on this problem.

I want to be clear here, Fences is 'it is completely unusable as it stands on these two PCs'

So you cannot click and arrow \ page Down key in these Fences, edreams?

Of course I can let go of my touchpad to use the keyboard or even use the elevator to the right of the window... but I invite you to do this gymnastics even if only during a working day and you will understand what this means in terms of loss of time, productivity and use absolutely not practical... so believe me this is not usable !!! which is why I and certainly many others are hoping for a quick update because as it is currently I am certainly not going to use this software even if on another of my PCs on which it works I find it fantastic!

Adding to this thread -- I'm also unable to scroll with the trackpad, and the workaround doesn't meet my needs.

Is there an estimated timeline on the fix?

With the yearly subscription fee for fences now, I'm sure hoping to see some proactive support πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

I too rushed with hope to my Microsoft Surface tablet when I saw that there was an update... alas I was too trusting...
