Error Message -7

I just subscribed to Windowblinds and got this message.

WindowBlinds has detected a problem with core files.  Please contact support with error message -7.

Can you help?  Thanks.

That didn't help.  I had WB 10 and am trying to get WB 11.  Should I restore 10?  Or maybe uninstall 10?

Hopefully, we can help you find a solution, if you are willing to work with us. However, we need some more information from you to try and help:

  • What version of Windows are you on? The full version please. (Press Windows key + R and type in winver and a popup will appear. (The number wil be something like 22H2 (OS Build 19045.3758)
  • What antivirus is running on your PC?
  • Have you tried to install with your antivirus temporarily disabled?  (That is a safe thing to do if you don't do a lot of other things online)
  • Have you downloaded the latest version of Windowblinds 11 from your account page? If not, do that before you try to install again.

Try this, and report back if that solved your issue.

That's more than likely Webroot is causing that to happen. Disable Webroot and try to download AND install AND reboot before AND see if that works before you enable it again.

Your version of Windows is the same as mine, so that's not what's causing it, as long as you haven't modified it with anything.
