If you like the way Windows 11 search looks, why not turn off "Use Start11 search in the Start11 start menu."

Because Start11 has integrated "Everything" results and it's more seamless to search if you're using S11's start menu. If you turn off that option it takes more time to search.

issue #1 Start Menu > Configuration (shortcuts list > Recent Items) Folders and non-document files keep showing on the list

Windows 11 23H2 (22631.2715) with Start11 v2.0.3 on a laptop with 2 external screens: the screens are flickering and the clock in the task bar was frozen after unplugging the screens.

I'm using small taskbar size and Windows 11 style.

I'll try to reproduce the issue and make a screen capture.

Another issue: the notifications bar opens in the middle of the screen and not on the right side. It was also the case with Start11 v1.xx

There is still an issue with the hidden taskbar showing itself early. It's not like it was a few versions ago, though. This is on my primary monitor, and it's not every time. It's very sporadic. This has done it on 2.02 and 2.03 for me. Windows 11 Pro 23H2 22631.2715. If I try to click a tab or something else quick enough it'll activate whatever is in that spot on the taskbar, even before the taskbar itself has actually popped up and is visible. Very random when it happens though. 

Using top taskbar, rounded corners, auto hide enabled in start11 and disabled in windows. Pretty sure it behaves the same regardless of where the taskbar is or what it looks like.

Edit to add: It doesn't actually pop itself back up automatically when it does this. It's fully there already, just invisible. Once I actually click the mouse it appears. In my youtube link below I tried to click to close the browser tab, but it popped open the taskbar. It didn't activate any app this time because it didn't happen to be over a pin. If I don't click, I can actually see the outlines of the pins appear as I move my mouse over them.

I know you guys probably have lots of things to test against already, but i suspect you have quite a lot of overlap in users with software like displayfusion (e.g users that like to customize their user experience in windows)

While we are talking of such issues, clicking on the start button on any of display fusions taskbars, has no effect, (probably due to missing hooks or somesuch?) but pressing the start button on my keyboard does open the startmenu on those screens as well.

I use the advanced taskbar with never combine while showing all buttons and often when my taskbar shrinks due to me closing a window (explorer for example) about 2-3 system tray icons are hidden for about a second before reappearing.

• Close a window (for example explorer window) to make the taskbar shrink. Sometimes moving the window to a second monitor before closing is needed to trigger the hidden system tray icons.

•  See that half of the controller icon in the system tray is hidden, along with 2 other icons that normally are to the left of it.

  

Any idea what causes this? It is very frustrating as it happens a ton of times. If you need more info please feel free to ask for it.

Just came back from being out of town for a few days.  Start11 doesnt seem to be working at all now.  Im on 2.03, but my start menu is windows 11 (not what i picked) and the start menu icon is wrong, and many things.  I can START start11 and the config comes up and i can change the settings but none of them work.

Am I missing something?

Try restarting Explorer, and if that doesn't work, try restarting your computer. If neither of those work, you might need to uninstall and reinstall Start11. Just make sure not to tick the box to Delete settings!

Ive done the reboot, and i downloaded the latest update and installed it trying to fix the issue.  So i should uninstall what i just installed and reinstall it?

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Try this, uninstall, reboot immediately after uninstall finished. Install the one you just download. Reboot again. Retest it and report back.

Yes!  I did.  And I uninstalled it and now everything seems to work.   Disappointed though, Ive been using ExplorerPatcher for quite a long time with no issues with Start10 or Start11.  Why suddenly is it conflicting?

Hello! Windows 11, version 23H2 (25997.1010)

Same bug in all similar styles: Windows App Style, Windows Pro style and Windows Launcher style. Didn't have this problem with same Windows version (didn't receive new updates) and previous version of Start11. The glitch appeared with the release of the new version 2.03

Is there a fix in the works for this Snipping Tool issue that doesn't require the "Multiple Windows" option to be turned on?

Start 11v2 and explorerpatcher are still compatible and you can still use the two programs together. What happens is that Windows updates often break explorerpatcher and when explorerpatcher breaks it takes start 11 with it.

So if you can find a version of explorerpatcher that works with your version of Windows 11 it should start working again as it used to. Also note that sometimes it takes a while for a working update of explorerpatcher and that you should never use an insider build of Windows 11 with this program.

New start menu styles are gorgeous but I think there is way too much space between groups, tabs, icons and text.

Too annoying for me, I need to customize the space between items.

I thought it was the Icon size, but look at this XDXDXD (Very funny):

It would be very nice to customize the space between items so start menu can fit them well.

OMG, I didn't know that was even possible, now the thing is, I have the lock menu option enabled and still I can resize the start menu, is there a way to lock the resize?
