Floating taskbar?

Where is it? :D

Hello!

Using Start11 2.0 and from the email that was sent out today (yesterday?) I found out that there's supposed to be a floating taskbar mode, but I'll be damned if I can find it... Anyone could help me with where the setting is?

Thanks!

The y offset creates the floating taskbar affect. Also note that you must be using start 11 v2 upgrade.

Hmm yeah, that's what I'm using, and I've tried the Y offset indeed but the taskbar stays firmly at the bottom... I've restarted Explorer of course. Does it depend on another setting?

I do not believe the floating taskbar works when you have auto hide task bar selected. Also, it may not work if you have explorerpatcher installed although I have not actually tested that one. Additionally there are two settings in screen shot #2 {resize when taskbar have no maximized] and [resize when taskbar has maximized]

I don't have explorerpatcher and auto-hide is disabled.

But, ah, I failed to see the setting about having maximized windows, I have now set the same options to both and *something* did happen. It's not a floating taskbar though, all it seems it did is add a few pixels at the bottom... and I don't see the rounded corners anywhere. Here's what it looks like right now - is this correct?

Phoenixrising1, I know this is a little off topic, but do you know what "Animate rounded corner changes" is all about?

Have you perhaps set the transparency of the background to nothing?

That would explain why you see no rounding as the background is what gets rounded.

Ahhh yes, it was the transparency setting! I think Settings requires some redesign instead of having the user go hunting around... Thanks so much!!!

After all though it's not really worth it, I was expecting something like a dock, as it is the effect doesn't really add anything, taking up almost the full width of the screen...

But thanks again! :)

There is a subtle transition animation when you have rounded corners 'on' [for no maximized windows] but 'off' for [maximized windows].

Ahh, now I see it. Yes, it's very subtle, but looks nice. Thanks
