Question on Registry Settings

Excel; Word; PowerPoint Intermittently Show Tabs even Though they are Excluded

Word, Excel, and PowerPoint intermittently show tabs even though they are included in the "Block applications" setting. The "Only allow specified applications to be in a Group" is not checked.

In the Registry under Groupy>Groupy.ini>Groupy>AddTab
winword.exe; excel.exe; and powerpnt.exe all have the Value=1

In the Registry under Groupy>Groupy.ini>Groupy>AlwaysShowTabs
winword.exe; excel.exe; and powerpnt.exe all have the Value=1

Should these apps even be in these registry locations; or should they have a different Value=?

I believe that those are placed there by selecting this option on install:

(Note: This option only shows on a "clean/first" install, it will not show if you just uninstall/reinstall)

You can force Groupy2 to seem like a brand new install, thus giving you that option to set to No by changing this reg entry to 0:

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stardock\Groupy\Groupy.ini\Groupy\SetupDefaultRules

This should fix that conflict

Question, does the registry really need to be cleaned? What cleaner is recommended?

I did a clean install of 2.12 last week after completely removing all Registry entries. I said no to the prompt you refer to here. Can I change the values for the entries I listed above; or completely remove those entries?
