Fix CursorFx click effects doesn't work

Some cursors when you click are supposed to change(slightly usually). Instead nothings happens, they remain the same. This is true for every cursor/theme. For example the hand cursor. You can test with every cursor thats supposed to change when you click. Even the default ones don't work on this regard.

Please tell us what version your OS is, and which version of Cursorfx you're using.

Also, please post a video (youtube) of the problem, if you can.

I just downloaded CursorFx from you site. As simple at that. You can check it yourselves and see it doesn't work. The version is 4.03

My OS doesn't matter because its not working for everyone, but its Windows 10 Pro Version 22H2 OS build 19045.3271

In your program you call it "pressed state". Basically pressed state doesn't work. That's what im saying. Does it work for you? I don't think so but check it.

It works just fine for me, actually. Which cursorfx skin did you try? Did you use one of the skins  included with Cfx?

I told you already that i used the hand. I also used BasicFx and Position. All of this are default with Cfx included. Especially on BasicFx its easy to test. When you click the black thing is supposed to move.

On the left side of the config window, did you choose any effects? Settings? Trails?

There's a pdf below, and Cursorfx guides under Cursorfx 4 (Google). I'll pm a Community Support Assistant. Maybe your installation borked.

i did not choose effects settings trails. I just clicked on BasicFx for example and nothing else. If you edit a cursor/theme and click on "view pressed state" it will show how its supposed to change when you click. Well it does not do that. It remains the same. Everything else works perfectly if that matters.

New user here. I'm also experiencing the problem; is there any expected completion date on this fix? It's been a couple years...

Is there an earlier version of CursorFX that has a working version of this feature? I'd rather go back to an older version since it seems like this fix isn't planned

The only way you can have a prior version is if you saved your installer. Stardock has only CursorFx 4 available for download.
